The "100 Mile Diet" - eating locally

Slow Food Tamborine Mountain convivium have agreed to the principles of the 100 Mile Diet - and initiative that encourages us to source our food from as close to home as possible. In fact, many of our members are able to source fresh produce from less than 100 metres away in their own gardens!

We will be compiling a directory of local food suppliers in the near future. In the meantime, a few local producers are currently listed on our links page.

The map below shows just how fortunate we are to be living in this corner of the world. Not only do we have fantastic fresh produce available from right here on the mountain, we also can access wine, apples and other cool climate fruit from Stanthorpe and the Granite Belt, meat and vegetables from the Lockyer Valley and Darling Downs, seafood from Moreton Bay and an abundance of products from Northern NSW.
